The Cape May Zoo

I love the Cape May County zoo. They have a new snow leopard and this is she. The zoo has installed a great plexiglass observation booth and that's how I took this shot. My biggest complaint was the wire cages over everything. The wire plays havoc with  my lenses.
Ahhh, my tocan buddy. He has a broken beak but he keeps on trucking. I just love his eyes.
A snake knot.
Okay, I get it. Back at ya.
I should of had decaffeinated.
Hey! Can I get a bartender here!!??
I always seem to revert to black and white with zebras. The green from the grass seems to take away from them.
Betty Davis eyes . .. .
I'm watching you
Dude! This is a goat.
Big deal.

The world from an 8mm perspective

I like weird lenses. So in one of my crazy moments I bought a Samyang 8mm fisheye lens. I've struggled with this lens in the past because it is difficult to work. Focus is manual, and visually hard  because everything is so far away. Aperture and f-stop is different then you would think. I would take it out and play with it experimentally but nothing would come of the photos. I finally kind of  'got' how it worked so I brought it with me to Cape May. When it came to our first walk on the beach I decided that was the lens I would take. It was fun and rewarding at the end.

A couple of good shots

I saw the moon out during the daytime and I had to break out my 600 mm lens. I love my 600 mm but I get little chance of using it because when you break out a lens that big people think you looking in their windows.

Coopers lake. I proposed to my wife at this lake , as did my father with his future bride, my mom.

PARIS (I love you)

I got thinking about Paris, I love that city. I had to go back and revisit my photos of my time there.

A view from the Effel Tower. The river Seine .

PARIS, A great city.

I loved the street markets

I took this picture because Jimmy Buffett had a song called "I ate the last mango in Paris" a pun for "Last tango in Paris" ... ....yea, nobody else got it either.

Paris is such a great city, if you have not visited, you should. They will persevere this bullshit as we all do.

Another little photo dump

Still playing with my new camera and lenses.
I saw this couple on the beach in Stone Harbor. I just thought it was sweet.

THE BLOOD MOON

I could have done this better, and I am sulking. I lost the clarity I wanted with the the end shot.

I knew about the blood moon and planned for it

New Camera Time

I finally upgraded my camera system. I went to a full frame Nikon D750. I'm still running with training wheels but I managed to take an interesting shot of the Ferry last night.
