New Dog - Chanel
This is our new dog Chanel. She was reading the Arts and Leisure section of the paper and I said "Hey Chanel, give me a Farrah Fawcett swimsuit kind of pose." Being a true fan of improv photography she complied.
In a more somber moment we were discussing when graphics in marketing becomes a sales tool instead of art and I captured this moment . She has it all, brains and beauty - the camera loves her.

Old Negatives
One of my late uncles got into photography years ago and now I have a pile of negatives from the 30's, 40's and 50's. This is a source of great enjoyment for me. It's like treasure hunting. When I have some free time I dig through them and render a few positive with my scanner. I crop them and sharpen them, but for the most part I leave them alone. This could be my father or his twin brother but I will never know for sure. It's just an anonymous moment in time.

. . .Is the jellyfish fresh?
South Beach Miami

We went to South Beach Florida for a week of fun in the sun. It was great. Since it was a "get away to relax" trip I didn't take my Nikon DSLR and instead took my little Nikon S50. On the flight down I was chastising myself for being a lazy photographer. Then I thought that the art is in the composition, not the equipment. Suddenly I was a struggling artist instead of a lazy photographer. It's all in the packaging.
