New Title
I love playing with graphics. I couldn't resist playing with an Idea I had. I'm not totally satisfied but I wanted to see it on the blog so above is the prototype. Here's the old one for prosperity.

Blue eye, babys got blue eye
Our new dog Chanel is a Shih Tzu. She has a touch of blue in the bottom corner of her left eye. My sister in law has a pup from the same litter and her Shih Tzu has a pure blue eye with pink skin around it.
It's just a genetic anomaly, but I think its distinguishing and gives Chanel an intriguing characteristic. .almost like a Bond villain or something.
Sapphire eye.

Lets see what bubbles to the surface.

A foray into water photography. A little water, some blue food coloring, and a canned air nozzle. It was fun, but I'm not done yet. More to come.

Plasma Blast

I acquired an old Plasma Globe recently. Since it was fun to look at I decided it needed to be photographed. This was much more difficult then I thought it would be because I wanted a fast lens but if I flooded the area with light I would lose the effect. Here's what seemed to work:

New Hobby - Taking a closer look.

I've been playing with a new hobby. Macro Photography. It's new to me anyway. I've rigged a macro studio in my workshop and I've been goofing around a bit. It's fun and (for me anyway) it's a great way to learn about depth of field and the study of light and shadow. Maybe, in a controlled environment where I have the time to dick around with the f-stop and aperture setting and then witness the results I'll get an intuitive feel for the camera during fast shooting.
I can hope, can't I?

New Dog - Chanel
This is our new dog Chanel. She was reading the Arts and Leisure section of the paper and I said "Hey Chanel, give me a Farrah Fawcett swimsuit kind of pose." Being a true fan of improv photography she complied.
In a more somber moment we were discussing when graphics in marketing becomes a sales tool instead of art and I captured this moment . She has it all, brains and beauty - the camera loves her.
