Macro Lens First Try

I just got a new Sigma 105mm F2.8 EX DG Macro lens for my camera. Macro photography is something that has always interested me so I finally broke down and got a macro lens. What a blast.The first thing I learned is when you make the small world huge you make your small mistakes huge.

This is a my steak on the grill. Sweet and meaty.

This is a project I was playing with. I printed out an old map. I cut a slide hole in it with a razor blade and placed the map on a lit surface (light box.) I then placed an old photo-slide over the hole so the slide was illuminated. Just a rough draft idea but it was fun.
